Dr. McGowan began his education in his home state of New York. He received his BA from the State University at New York Oswego.He moved to Texas and completed his BS and DVM at Texas A & M University, graduating with Honors in 1987. He is a member of the National Honor Society of Veterinary Medicine, American Veterinary Medical Association,Texas Veterinary Medical Association and Harris County Veterinary Medical Association. He has served as the veterinarian for the Golden Retriever Rescue and Homeless Pet Placement. Dr. McGowan is married, a resident of Katy and is the father of two stepsons and two sons.
Lori
Lori started working for Dr. McGowan over nineteen years ago. She followed him from West University and Bellaire Clinics to Green Trails Animal Clinic when it was completed in 1999. Lori has worked in all capacities from Veterinary assistant, receptionist, kennel care to office manager. Lori is married, a resident of Katy, and has a Shepherd Mix that she adopted named Penelope Pitstop and two cats that she adopted from Green Trails Animal Clinic.
Juan
Juan started working for Dr. McGowan almost thirteen years ago. Juan was working at another clinic where Dr. McGowan was working as a relief doctor. Juan works as a veterinary assistant and kennel assistant. A resident of Houston, Juan is married has six grown children and four grandchildren. Juan is holding one of our kittens that will be available for adoption.
Tommy
Tommy started working at Green Trails Animal Clinic in 2008. Tommy is a lifetime resident of Katy and a graduate of Taylor High School. Tommy functions as a veterinary and kennel assistant. He is engaged to be married in Aug. 2014 and has a Staffordshire Terrier that he adopted (from a previous client ) named Saint, and a Chihuahua that belongs to his fiance named Luna. Tommy does the dental xrays and Laser Therapy.
Dede
Dede joined Green Trails Animal Clinic in 2010. She functions as receptionist and kennel assistant. She has lived in Katy over twenty years and has two grown children, three grandchildren. Dede is shown here with one of our cats up for adoption.
Elaine
As a veterinary assistant and receptionist,Elaine started working for Dr. McGowan in 1990.She followed him to another practice until 1997. She returned working for Dr. McGowan part time in 2006.She is a Registered Veterinary Technician with a special interest in veterinary dentistry.She is currently working on achieving her Veterinary Technician Specialty in dentistry. Elaine belongs to several professional organizations and attends many continuing education seminars. She has several cats and two dogs. In this picture, Elaine is holding one of the cats available for adoption.
B. J.
joined Green Trails Animal Clinic in 2013 as a kennel technician. Born and raised in Katy, Texas, B. J. is an animal lover..owning three dogs, two cats, two horses and chickens. She is a devoted mother to her son.
Amy
Amy started working at Green Trails Animal Clinic in Aug. 2018. Born and raised in Texas, she graduated from Royal High School in 2018. Amy has two cats Luna and July and two dogs Roscoe and Pepper.
Jay
Born and raised in Katy, Texas. Jay graduated from Taylor High School in 2008, He graduated from HCC IN 2016 with an associate degree in computer science. He enjoys video games, art and design. Jay has two German Shepherds, Izzy and Tidus. He started working at Green trails Animal Clinic in Aug. 2017.
Sydney
Sydney starting working for Green Trails Animal Clinic in 2014.She was born and raised in Katy, Texas and graduated from Morton Ranch High School in 2015. She is currently attending classes. She has one cat, Boots, that she adopted from Green Trails.
